The Christian Scientist

When I feel the depth of your presence,
I know that science cannot explain,
This feeling of peace and joy so pleasant,
Or the power of your name,

I could search the ends of time,
Yet at the end, still never find,
For worldly wisdom is fully blind,
To that which you've placed in my mind,

I see science as a tool to use,
One that gives all glory to you,
To support the theories I know are true,
Even if my theories are few,

A hundred percent I know you exist,
Your lamp to my feet cannot be missed,
Your works in my life cannot be denied,
Your spirit in me, I cannot hide,

Though the evidence before me cannot be gathered,
It's proof to me of the heavenly father,
One that I need not defend,
One in whom I can depend.
